On Tuesday 15th September, internationally acclaimed author, filmmaker and visionary Helena Norberg-Hodge joins us at the Royal Society of Arts for what promises to be an inspiring and thought-provoking evening exploring one of the defining questions of our time:

How can we build healthier, happier and more resilient communities in an increasingly globalised world?

For over five decades, Helena has been at the forefront of a worldwide movement demonstrating that many of today's environmental, social and economic challenges share common roots—and that strengthening local communities, local food systems and local economies offers practical, hopeful solutions.

As founder of Local Futures, convenor of World Localization Day, and author of the internationally acclaimed books Ancient Futures and Local is Our Future, Helena has inspired millions to rethink prosperity, reconnect with place, and recognise that genuine wellbeing begins close to home. Her award-winning documentary The Economics of Happiness has become a landmark film for communities seeking a more human-centred economy.

Drawing on fifty years of work in Ladakh and projects across more than twenty countries, Helena will share stories, insights and practical examples that reveal how localisation is helping restore ecological balance, cultural diversity and a renewed sense of belonging.
